About Garden For Good

We are a small family owned business in Baltimore City, offering garden support for food and pollinator gardens.

We believe that growing your own food and working with nature is a practice that can bring peace, connection, and great food right to your backyard! All you need is a sunny patch of land!

Not only will we design, install, and maintain your gardens, but we’d also love to teach you how to grow and bring the beauty of native wildlife to your space!

Garden For Good Founder and Backyard Farmer

A message from Anna:

Growing up in Baltimore City, I was lucky to have parents with green thumbs that enjoyed maintaining a vegetable garden at my grandparents house in Towson, Maryland. It was a great introduction to how things grow and how delicious the outcome can be. I was always getting my hands dirty and learning about the world around me! Studying visual art at the Baltimore School for the Arts, I continued to observe the world and got my Bachelors Degree in Photography from the Corcoran College of Art & Design.

After a 17-year-long career in animal medicine/welfare, I decided to slow down and get back to my gardening roots. In those 17 years I always found gardening, by volunteering at large gardens and growing my own small gardens along the way, always making time to dig in the soil. After traveling and living in the Caribbean and the Southern US, I found may way back to Baltimore, the climate I most enjoy growing food in.

Gardening is a passion and joy of mine that I love to bring to others, helping them learn about how things grow, what nature surrounds us, and how to work with the land. After working as a Vegetable Gardening Farmer for Edible Eden Foodscapes for 4 years, I decided to purchase a portion of the business to keep the clients that I had come to know so well, and keep their vegetable gardens growing strong.

I designed this business with my family, using my son’s creative mind, my husband’s building skills, and my gardening experience with teaching skills. What a perfect combination and a wonderful service we can bring to the community!

We started up in the beginning of 2025 with less than 20 vegetable garden clients, and have nearly doubled the client list in this growing season! We look forward to continuing to grow and build our team, offering a wider reach and much more support for the community!

Thank you to the clients I have served thus far, and to the community for their support and interest in the work we do!
